Creating Jobs

We have the opportunity to build a strong, local, job-creating economy.

Longview has an obligation to engage its people by providing meaningful jobs and allowing them the opportunity to start businesses. By encouraging strong job-creating economic growth among  Longview’s community, we are going to perpetuate that growth in the form of investments, new industries, and more small businesses that provide attractions and services.

Strong job growth means lower unemployment, fewer risks of homelessness, a decrease in substance abuse, and more opportunities for families to grow.

We have all the resources we need to make this happen: the talent, the educational and civic institutions that support businesses, and the desire to build our city up from the inside. We deserve a city council that is motivated to make it happen.
