About the Candidate

I am a content single mother, fierce learner and teacher, ardent lover of life.

I currrently serve on the Advisory Board for Start.coop, an accelerator serving cooperatively owned businesses. After a long and varied career, I've decided to put my money where my mouth is and marry my two deepest passions: storytelling and social justice. The results have surpassed my wildest expectations.

Now, I want to bring my talents to the Longview City Council.

I'm moral and deeply empathetic, super creative and also down to earth, and my hard work and dedication have allowed me to pull myself up by my bootstraps several times over. My interdisciplinary work experience and education allow me to excel at community bridge building. I plan to use my experience in economic development to meet a wide variety of community needs, including environmental protections and investment in community institutions.

Helping Longview Lead.

Hillary For Longview PO Box 701 Longview, WA 98632 Thank you for the opportunity to be of service to Longview and earn your vote. I’m so happy and proud to have put my roots down here. My entire 25 year career has been committed to community, policy, and economic development. I’ve used my social science training and my MBA to serve cities in every stage of economic health, from natural disaster recovery to economic collapse due to industry withdrawal. This experience has given me an extraordinary level of skill, leadership, and determination that I plan to use to help Longview, including infrastructure improvement, economic innovation, and tackling the challenges impacting our current quality of place. We should support and provide services for families, businesses, and civic institutions. We have the opportunity to build a strong, local, job-creating economy. And we can be a role model for small cities everywhere by using our human and natural resources wisely. L

Thank You!

To all of the early evangelists, supporters, donors, and advisors who have helped us launch this campaign, we say a huge thank you! A huge shout out as well to the Cowlitz County Elections Commission and the Public Disclosure Commission for their help in making sure we are fully transparent and authentic in all aspects of this campaign. (To the best campaign manager I could have hoped for, you deserve greatness, my friend!) To you, the voter, we are so very excited to earn your trust as we embark on the journey to help Longview lead! Sincerely, Hillary
